Intruder 'caught' in judge's house compound returns to apologise for trespassing

KUALA LUMPUR: An intruder who was ‘caught’ in the compound of a judge’s house in Segambut yesterday returned 30 minutes later to apologise for trespassing.

Sentul Police chief ACP R. Munusamy said the presence of the intruder, a man in his 20s, was realised by the judge’s wife at 4.55pm who then informed her husband.

“The complainant told the intruder to leave his house compound and that he will summon the police. On hearing this, the intruder climbed over the back wall of the house and fled,” he said today.

After 30 minutes, the intruder returned to the house in a Honda HR-V and apologised to the complainant for trespassing before driving off.

Munusamy said CCTV footage of the incident shows the intruder wearing a blue shirt and black long pants.

A check by police found that the Honda HR-V used by the intruder was reported missing since April 4.

Police are tracing the intruder.

The case is investigated under Section 448 of the Penal Code for trespassing. -- BERNAMA
