KOTA KINABALU: A policeman and his daughter were killed when a car rammed the motorcycle they were on, in front of the Kota Kinabalu Polytechnic, Sepanggar here.
Sergeant Major Ahmad Ali Towpa , 40, who serves at the General Operation Force (GOF) in Kinarut, and his daughter, died on the spot due to severe injuries.
The driver of the Perodua MyVi which rammed into them, abandoned the car and fled the scene.
Kota Kinabalu district police chief Assistant Commissioner M Chandra, confirming the incident, said investigations are being done under Section 41 (1) of Road Transport Act 1987.
