Taxi driver robs passenger at knife-point behind Subang Parade

KUALA LUMPUR: A 28-year old woman has claimed that she was robbed by a taxi driver behind Subang Parade this morning.

Subang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Azlin Sadari said the suspect, in his 40s, was behind the wheel of a red and white-coloured taxi.

The woman had hailed a cab to take him to work at the Empire Shopping Gallery around 8.30am.

“However, when they arrived behind Subang Parade (next to Empire), the suspect stopped the car and brandished a knife at the victim’s right ear.

“He also showed a gun to the victim,” said Azlin.

The cabbie took RM1,500 in cash, a mobile phone and house keys from the victim's bag. He dropped the victim off in front of a post office at SS15.

The victim sustained injuries on her ear.
