PKR supreme council to deliberate on Penang snap elections

SHAH ALAM: PKR's supreme council will meet next week to discuss the issue revolving snap elections in Penang.

PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohd Azmin Ali said the party had deliberated the matter and had obtained clarification from Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.

"Now that we have heard from him, we will discuss this in the supreme council over the next few days," he told reporters after attending the JAIS Hari Raya open house today.

Asked if the snap elections would be a waste of funds as the Penang government already has a strong mandate, Azmin replied that there are many strong views on the matter.

He said the matter can be resolved via discussion, not an open debate.
