KUALA LUMPUR: An Indian national suffered burn on his hands in his attempt to put out a blaze at a Hindu temple in Jinjang Selatan Tambahan last night.

City Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Azizan Ismail said the fire broke out at a store room which contained only boxes and a television set.

“The victim who was at the temple when the fire broke out managed to bring it under control. However, he suffered burns on his both hands in the process,” he said, adding that the man's identity is still unknown.

Firemen arrived at the scene and put out the blaze.
