Police report lodged against noisy Pokemon Go players

GEORGE TOWN: Residents in Lebuh Cannon and Lebuh Acheh here have lodged a police report against several Pokemon Go players, claiming the avid users of the popular mobile app were disturbing the peacefulness of the area.

Northeast district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said police personnel have been deployed to monitor the situation upon receiving the noise complaint from the residents.

"I have instructed my personnel to go to the ground and monitor the situation. I have also asked them to issue summons to those who parked their vehicles haphazardly, causing traffic inconvenience.

"We advise players not to make so much noise, which can disturb public order and the residents' peacefulness in the area," he said.
