IPOH: A man endured a harrowing experience when he spent more than hour pinned under a tree trunk, which fell on him as he was riding his motorcycle to work today.
The freak accident occurred about 7am when the victim, in his 40s, was riding his motorcycle along Lorong Bercham 6, Kampung Bercham to his workplace.
A Perak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said a team of firemen was immediately dispatched to the scene upon received a distress call at 7.28am.
He said it took them about an hour to free the man. They had to cut the tree trunk using a chain saw.
The victim, who sustained a broken leg, was sent to the Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun for treatment.
