IPOH: Motorists in the city centre were baffled at seeing four horses, prancing and galloping freely along several roads here today.
Most of them had to slow down their vehicles when they saw the animals on the road.
"I initially thought that there was an accident when the vehicles in front of me began slowing down at Jalan Datuk Seri Ahmad Said about 1.30pm.
"I was shocked when I suddenly saw four brown horses majestically galloping on the road in a drove," said Razif Rosli.
The 32-year-old believes that the horses might have escaped from their enclosure or pen.
However, no information was available on the horses and their whereabouts as of 4pm today.
Perak Veterinary Services Department spokesmam said they did not receive any reports on the horses.
"The status of the horses are also unknown. We do not know where they came from and who the owners are.
"We are now contacting related agencies and companies which may own them ," he said when contacted today.
A Perak Turf Club spokesman also confirmed that the horses were not from their facility here.
