BUTTERWORTH: A newborn baby girl was found abandoned inside a bag at a bus stop here today.
A secondary school student made the discovery near Bagan Ajam about 8am.
A police spokesman said the student spotted the bag and decided to inspect it. The student then discovered the baby inside.
"The student alerted a school security guard."
The police spokesman said the baby appeared to be healthy.
He said the baby was brought to the Desa Bagan Ajam Clinic near the school en route to the Kepala Batas Hospital for a medical examintaion.
