GEORGE TOWN: A three-year-old girl is now fighting for her life after falling from an escalator at the Kompleks Bukit Jambul, here yesterday.
The incident happened about 6.30pm as the victim was being held by her father over his shoulder.
It is learnt that the father suddenly tilted his head, causing the child to fall from a height of 3m.
Northeast district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said the victim is currently in critical condition at the Penang Hospital.
"Investigations into the case are ongoing," he added.
