SPM 2016 to take place from Nov 7 to Dec 6

PUTRAJAYA: A total of 434,535 candidates have registered to sit for this year's Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)'s written examinations, which are scheduled from Nov 7 to Dec 6.

The Education Ministry said SPM candidates will take the examinations at 3,732 centres nationwide.

A total of 32,220 invigilators have also been appointed to ensure the examinations run without a hitch.

Out of the total candidates, 377,194 are from government schools, government-aided schools and government-aided religious schools.

A total of 9,094 candidates are from schools under government agencies such as the Mara Junior science colleges (MRSM); Sekolah Menengah Agama Negeri (7,931); private schools registered with the ministry (12,847); private schools (25,713); and Sekolah Menengah Agama Rakyat (1,756).

“The Malaysian Examination Board would like to remind all candidates to refer to the examination schedule for information on the time and instructions to be adhered to during the examination.

“Candidates are also reminded to bring their respective identity cards to the examination centres,” the ministry said in a statement today.

The ministry said the examination schedule can be downloaded from the Examination Board's website at http://www.Ip.moe.gov.my.
