Kelantan Football Action Committee disagrees with Kafa over need to pull out from Super League

KOTA BARU: Kelantan Football Action Committee has urged Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) not to withdraw from the Super League next season.

Its coordinator Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan said Kafa should not have taken such drastic action despite being faced with financial problems and take into consideration the feelings of Kelantanese who loved the sport.

"Kafa should not have made the decision because football is the people's favourite game. If the association felt it is facing money trouble, we will figure out ways to ensure that it will not be buried just like that," he said.

Takiyuddin said Kafa should work with the action committee because it was set up to help bring Kelantan's football back to its glory days.

"We (the committee) will discuss the problem with the state government and other communities to find the best solution to this problem." he said.

Last week, Kafa executive committee had decided to withdraw their team from the Super League next season due to financial constraints.

However, the final decision would only be made at Kafa’s extraordinary congress on Dec 29 in Kota Baru.
