GEORGE TOWN: Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Gelugor started the new school year on a high, when it rolled out a special guest, 'Iron Man'.
The school headmaster Fairus Ayub said he came upon the idea of cheering up his pupils, during the school holiday period.
"I had the chance to catch up on several movies during the recent break, and figured that bringing a 'superhero' in would be a great way to entertain the children," he said.
"I think Year One pupils would be excited at meeting Iron Man, and it would also lessen their first day jitters," he said.
Fairus said he rented the Iron Man costume, as well as a costume actor from a local business.
Also present to oversee the Year One pupils' first day was Penang Education Department director Shaari Osman.
