Another international school in Penang receives bomb threat

GEORGE TOWN: An international school in Batu Ferringhi here is the latest school in the state to receive a bomb threat.

The school received the bomb threat through an email yesterday.

This brings to three the total number of international schools in Penang which have received bomb threats.

Acting northeast police chief Superintendent V. Saravanan said the school lodged the report about 9.22am today.

"Based on the report, about 9.42am yesterday, the school received an email from an unknown individual (tasktstorrer@beeble.com).

"The individual had claimed that there was explosive buried in the school," he said.

Yesterday, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain confirmed receiving police reports on false bomb threats at 19 international schools nationwide, including seven in Selangor and five in Kuala Lumpur.

He said the bomb scares were all received via an email sent out by two email addresses newly created under "Taktstorer" and "Takstorer" via Beeble.com email service provider.
