Perak crash survivors to be transferred to private hospital in Subang Jaya

IPOH: The family of three injured in a head-on collision at Km16 Jalan Ipoh-Lumut in Batu Gajah yesterday will be transferred to a private hospital in Subang Jaya.

Radzlan Mohamed, 50, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz, said he and his daughters, Anisa Ridzuana, 19, and Azra Rhea, 13, would be transferred from the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital today after his siblings make the arrangement.

Radzlan’s wife, Anita Zuriana Abu Zarim, 46, along with four others in a Toyota Vios, died at the scene, following the impact from the crash.

“It happened so fast. All I remembered was being lifted into the ambulance and I only learnt about my wife’s death after I was admitted to the emergency ward,” said Radzlan.

He however refused to elaborate further.

“I am sorry. I can’t talk as my head still hurts,” he said.

Radzlan’s daughters suffered severe head and bodily injuries.

The accident also claimed the lives of Leong Chuen Meng, 67, together with his wife, Lee Fong Lan, 61, his son, Leong Kok Chuen, 37 and daughter Leong Sook Yee, 34.
