BATU PAHAT: A 17-year-old youth had his right leg severed in a three-vehicle accident at Km6 of Jalan Bukit Pasir-Tongkang Pechah, near Taman Melodi here on Friday night.
Muhammad Asyraf Mohd Alias from Kampung Parit Basri suffered serious injuries when he was involved in an 8.30pm collision with a Kia Picanto and a Honda Wave motorcycle.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Wahib Musa said Asyraf was on a Yamaha 125Z motorcycle. He crashed into the left side of the Kia Picanto when the oncoming car made a right turn.
“The Yamaha motorcycle skidded and then crashed into a Honda Wave that was ahead of it. The impact of the crash and the collision with those two vehicles led to him sustaining severe injuries to his leg. His right leg was severed,” he said.
Wahib said the road was dark and that it was raining during the incident.
