Man found dead in pool of blood, cops looking for three Rohingya men

KUALA TERENGGANU: Police are looking for the three Rohingya men to assist in the murder of another Royingya at a house in Kampung Pak Madah, Marang, last night.

State Criminal Investigations Department chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Abdul Aziz Wan Hamzah said the main suspect in the case has been identified as Qari, 30.

Abdul Aziz said in the 11pm incident, a commotion broke out between the victim and three Rohingya men at the house following a misunderstanding.

He said a neighbour, who went to check the commotion, later found the victim lying in a pool of blood inside the house while the main suspect, his wife and two children, aged 13 and four-months, were no where to be found.

After being alerted by the neighbour, a team of policemen from the Marang police station rushed to the scene. They seized knives, hammers, three helmets covered in blood stains and other items related to the case.

He said a 33-year-old man, also a Rohingya, has been detained to assist the investigation today.

"We believe he can help us." he said, adding that police were looking at jealousy as the motive of the killing.
