KUALA LUMPUR: Police arrested 229 people, including 38 guest relations officers (GROs), in a raid on two nightclubs here today.
Of the total, 187 people were arrested for drugs offences.
Police seized 27 marijuana cigarettes, 18 ecstasy pills, six Eramine pills, 0.86gm of methamphetamine and 0.56gm of ketamine.
City police Chief Datuk Amar Singh said they screened 564 people and 191 were detained for investigations.
All arrested are being investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act and Immigration Act.
The raid was jointly conducted by the City police Criminal Investigation Department (CID); the Federal police CID; the Narcotics CID; the Special Tactical Intelligence Narcotics Group (Sting); and the Integrity and Standards Compliance Department.
