Philandering father murder case : Five suspects remanded

JOHOR BARU: Police have detained five suspects to facilitate its investigation into the murder case of the philandering father yesterday.

One of the five suspects include the 17-year old son who had allegedly stabbed his father after knowing about his father's infidelity.

The other suspects are believed to be friends of the victim's son all aged 18.

The 40-year old mother of the suspect was also held under investigation as police believed she had abetted with her son to commit the murder.

Iskandar Puteri district police chief Noor Hashim Mohamad said a four-day remand has been obtained for the five suspects which ends this Monday.

"The murder weapon, a knife is still classified missing," he said.

The incident which occured yesterday morning around 11am happened when the son confronted the victim in his father's room located inside a two-storey house in Taman Nusa Bestari.

A fight broke out between the two of them and the victim was stabbed on the chest but he managed to walk down to the living room where his remains was found lying on the floor.
