Police hunt for man who bullied a disabled person in Muar

MUAR: A man is being hunted by the police as a main suspect in a bully incident involving a disabled person in the district.

Muar deputy police chief Superintendent Idris Rajab said the police had identified the 30-year-old suspect and now in hot pursuit of the man.

“So far, initial report that we received found that the victim is mentally disabled and was bullied by the suspect. We are also conducting a thorough investigation into this incident,” he said.

Idris said the case was being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means.

Meanwhile, a four-series video of the incident with duration of between 13 seconds and 1 minute and five seconds had gone viral on Facebook since yesterday and received backlash from Netizens.

The video showed the disabled man being beaten with a steel rod and the suspect also asked the victim to wear a pail over his head and sing.

Netizens saw red over the video and urged the authority to take firm action and demanded for the bully to be heavily punished as his action was too much and could harm the victim.
