CHUKAI: Two brothers have been arrested for raping and impregnating their younger sister.
The heinous act by the two suspects, aged 17 and 19, was exposed after the 13-year-old victim complained of stomach ache and was brought to Kemaman Hospital for treatment at 9.30pm last Sunday.
Kemaman police chief Superintendent Mohd Said Ibrahim said further checks found the victim to be 36 weeks’ pregnant and she gave birth to a baby girl on the same day.
When questioned, the victim admitted to have been raped by her two brothers since the end of 2017 when their family resided in Kuantan, Pahang.
“Further checks found that the family moved to Chukai in August last year and she was constantly raped until she got pregnant last May.
“Following a report lodged at Chukai police station on Monday, two suspects have been arrested and remanded under Section 376B of the Penal Code for incest,” said Mohd Said.
