Police hunt four more 'Geng Emi Keju' members

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are on a hunt for four men believed to be members of the notorious ‘Geng Emi Keju’, who are allegedly involved in 54 armed robbery cases around Klang Valley.

Selangor Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Fadzil Ahmat said efforts to locate the suspects were ongoing and they were believed to be in hiding.

“The wanted men are Mohd Fairus Hassan, or better known as Lit or Panjang, 32; Mohd Aidee Fatehah Md Akhir, known as Fatesh, 32; Doddy Eddy or Alan, 22; and Muhammad Arif Amran or better known as Capang, aged 22.

“The four suspects have been involved in organised crimes in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negri Sembilan and Perak since 2013, and they also threatened the lives of their victims,” he said when contacted today.

He urged the public who have any information on the four suspects to contact their nearest police stations.

On Aug 16, a total of 19 members of ‘Geng Emi Keju’, including the leader known as Emi Keju, aged 32, were charged at the Selayang Sessions Court under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act (Sosma) 2012 for alleged involvement in organised crime activities.

No plea was recorded after the charges were read separately to them.

It was reported that police crippled the group following three-year surveillance on their activities.

The leader and his gang members, aged between 20 and 38, were detained separately in a special operations conducted by Selangor police's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Bukit Aman’s CID Organised Crime Investigation (D14).
