Bodies in bags: Two siblings remanded over murder of couple

SHAH ALAM: Two siblings, who are the main suspects in the murder of a husband and wife whose bodies were found stuffed in bags, have been remanded for seven days.

The remand order was issued by Magistrate Hanie Dzatul Akhmar Zulkefli.

Earlier, the suspects, Indian nationals aged 19 and 25, arrived at the Shah Alam court at 9.30am.

It was learnt that the suspects, who were arrested yesterday around Kota Kemuning, work as security guards at a mall in Subang Jaya.

They were also believed to be the tenants at a house belonging to the victims, Lim Ah Kee @ Lim Kok Hoe, 79, and his wife Tan Siew Mee, 52.

The childless couple lived in a rented condominium unit in USJ.

The luggage bag containing Tan’s body was found by two telecommunications company technicians at Jalan Persiaran Kuala Selangor in Section 27 at 5.30am on Monday.

Tan was identified based on a fingerprint check with the National Registration Department.

Lim is believed to have suffered the same fate as his wife when the police discovered a similar bag with human remains in a drain in Alam Megah yesterday evening.
