A video clip of the incident went viral recently showing two policemen trying to stop a silver Proton Waja at a traffic light junction.

In the one-minute 45-second video clip, two policemen were seen approaching the vehicle and asked the driver to stop and exit the vehicle.

The driver however blatantly ignored the policemen, one of whom was trying to get him to come out of the car, choosing instead to dangerously reverse and move forward.

He was seen ramming a lorry on the left and a blue Perodua Myvi on the right repeatedly in an attempt to squeeze through in a desperate effort to evade the two policemen.

In an effort to stop the driver from fleeing, one of the policemen drew his pistol and shot the car's left front and back tyres but the driver still managed to flee the scene and sped off by making a left turn as the policemen ran to their vehicle to give chase.

In another clip that surfaced later, the same Proton Waja was seen abandoned by the side of the road, opposite the newly-constructed Damansara Damai MRT station.
