Four students to face bullying charge tomorrow

SEREMBAN: Four secondary school students in Sikamat are expected to be charged in the Magistrate's Court tomorrow, for bullying and injuring a Form One student on May 13.

Three of the students are Form Four students and one is a Form Three student studying in the same school and lived in the dormitory , together with the victim .

Seremban police chief Assistant Commissioner Nanda Maarof confirmed the matter, when contacted today.

"Based on the information we received, the boys will be charged and after that they will be given probation before a new date is set for sentencing," he said.

He said the suspects would be charged under Section 323 and Section 34 of the Penal Code, while another Form Five student is expected to be called to testify as a witness for the case .

The four students were arrested on Friday at about 7pm, following a police report lodged by the victim's parents.

In the May 13 bully incident, the suspects had allegedly accused the victim of having caused a problem and called him aside.

They took him to one of the dorm rooms and allegedly started hitting, kicking, punching and slapping him mercilessly, causing fracture on one of his wrist .
