KUALA LUMPUR: A third suspect has been charged at the magistrate's court, here, today in connection with the murder of a businessman near Mont Kiara recently.

M. Partibekumaran, 37, was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which provides for the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.

He was charged with killing Goh Chok Chuan, 63, at the Amarin Kiara parking lot, on July 11, with another suspect who is still at large.

The accused, who is also a businessman, only nodded when the charge was read out to him before magistrate Wong Chai Sia. No plea was recorded from the accused.

The court fixed Sept 29 for re-mention, together with two security guards who had been charged with the same offence yesterday.

It is believed that the three suspects charged with the offence are acquaintances.

Police detained seven suspects in connection with the case, on July 14 and 15 - four in Johor Baru and three in Ipoh.
