Golf caddy claims army officers molested her

KUALA LUMPUR: A 21-year-old female golf caddy lodged a report at the Simpang Ampat police station in Melaka on Oct 5 claiming that she had been molested by two army officers earlier that day.

The woman claimed that one of the men had hugged her waist and then touched her breasts while making inappropriate remarks.

She said as they were heading back to the golf club, the other man had reached his hand out for a handshake before pulling her towards him and kissing her on the cheek.

Melaka police chief Datuk Zainol Samah said both men were senior officers based at a camp in Negri Sembilan.

He said the men were aged 51 and 52, adding that one had lodged a separate report later denying the allegations.

Zainol added that a colleague of the alleged victim had also lodged a report stating that she did not witness the incident.

It is understood that the colleague, though she did not witness the alleged sexual assault, had stated that the caddy had sat between both men, whom it is learnt hold the rank of lieutenant-colonel, and kissed their hands without coercion.

Zainol said police were still investigating the incident.
