PASIR GUDANG: The 32-year-old mother who had allegedly murdered and slit the throat of her 18-month-old son started showing a drastic change in behaviour before the incident, here, in Taman Cahaya Masai.
Her family members, who wish to remain anonymous, are in disbelief that the mother had allegedly murdered her son and then sent pictures of it to her husband.
They said she had been distancing herself from her husband and the rest of their family a few days before the alleged murder.
"She kept to herself and didn't talk much. She even avoided talking with her husband."
Her husband said their marriage was normal and harmonious.
He said her quietness and withdrawal from conversation were concerning, and that he regretted not inquiring further.
"I asked her what was troubling her, and she said nothing. I just assumed that she was tired."
He described their son as a cheerful and active toddler.
"He had started taking a few steps and tried to say a few words."
The couple had known each other since their school days before tying the knot in December 2021.
The family said the boy would be buried in his maternal grandmother's village in Felda Redong, Segamat.
