SEREMBAN: A couple was killed and four other people injured in a head-on collision involving a car and a three-tonne lorry at Bukit Putus in Ulu Bendul near here today.
One of the victims died on the spot while the other succumbed to head and body injuries at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital.
The crash occurred about 3pm. Negeri Sembilan Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Md Dali Wahid said the identities of the deceased and injured had not been ascertained.
He said the six people were traveling in a car heading to their home in Air Hitam. Jempol from the airport when the crash occurred.
According to lorry attendant Mohd Nizam Ahmad, 35, who was traveling with two others in the vehicle, as they approached the scene, the car from the opposite direction suddenly swerved before the two vehicles collided.
Meanwhile, Seremban Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Mohamad Idris said firemen in three engines were despatched to the scene of the crash. --Bernama
