KANGAR: All residential and commercial areas in Bintong and several locations in Kangar town and Kuala Perlis will be experiencing low water pressure and water disruption beginning today.
Syarikat Air Perlis in a statement said the problem was due to flooding at the Sungai Batu Pahat pump house following the heavy downpour.
A spokesman from the company said the pump house operation will be halted temporarily until the floodwaters subside.
The areas affected are Behor Inai, Abi Padang Melangit, Abi Batas Paip, Abi Tok Hashim, Behor Empiang,Kampung Syed Omar, Sungai Batu Pahat, Nesam,Teluk Jambu, Wang Ulu, Wang Besar, Tebing Tinggi,Kampung Jarak, Kurong Batang,Kangar town and Kuala Perlis.
"Some of the areas face water shortage while some will experience low water pressure.
“We urged consumers in these areas to store enough water for their daily consumption during the period," said the spokesman.
