NILAI: A corporal attached to the state police headquarters was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car in Jalan Besar Nilai, near INTI College, yesterday.
State police chief Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin said 57-year-old M. Pariyasamy, was riding a Honda EX5 motorcycle alone when the incident occurred at 1.30am.
“The victim is believed to have lost control of his vehicle before colliding with the car.”
Noor Azam said Pariyasamy’s body was later taken to Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
“We are saddened by the incident as the victim is known for his credible work in his 33 years of service with police,” he said, adding that Pariyasamy leaves behind a wife and four children.
