Two killed, one injured in early morning crash on NSE

HULU SELANGOR: Two men were killed and another injured when two cars crashed at KM396.8 of the North-South Expressway (NSE) early this morning.

In the 2.15am incident, the driver of a Perodua Alza and his friend; Saiful Hazemi Yop, 42 and Iskandar Fadly Abdul Wahab, 28, were killed on the spot.

The driver of another car, a Proton Wira, sustained injuries to his face.

District police chief Superintendent Lim Bak Phai said checks showed the Wira had slammed into the back of the Alza. The impact caused Saiful and Iskandar to be flung out of the vehicle.

“The Wira driver, a 31-year-old man, has been taken into custody for further action,"

He said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless driving.
