Penang undersea tunnel probe: MACC calls in 10 more witnesses

KOTA BARU: Graftbusters probing the Penang undersea tunnel case have called in 10 more witnesses.

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy chief commissioner (operations) Datuk Seri Azam Baki said they statements were recorded in stages to facilitate the commission's investigations into the case.

"The probe is still ongoing and it covers the technical aspects. We had, before this, called in 76 witnesses to have their statements recorded," he told reporters after a meeting with Kelantan MACC officers here yesterday.

Also present was state MACC director Datuk Moh Samsuddin Yusoff.

Azam said there had been no more arrest made in connection with the case.

The MACC has so far detained four individuals.

To date, the MACC has raided 42 locations, including government agencies and various companies in Penang and the Klang Valley.
