Parents accept explanation over son being allegedly bitten by teacher

PENAMPANG: The case of a Year Four pupil who was allegedly bitten in the hand by his teacher last week has been settled.

It is learned that the parents were given an explanation about the incident and they accepted that it was a mere misunderstanding.

It was reported that the incident occurred at 10.25am on Friday , when the boy was handing over his test answer sheet to the teacher at school.

The parents found out about the ‘biting’ later in the day when their son complained of pain in his hand, while they were having a meal at a restaurant here.

The 10-year-old boy had told his parents that his teacher had bitten him when he was passing his answer sheet.

Police received a report from the parents on Saturday and began investigations.

A check at the school here found that the boy had attended class as usual.
