Video of man attacking golf resort security guard goes viral

KUALA LUMPUR: A video of a golf resort security guard being assaulted by a man for doing his job has gone viral on Facebook.

The 20-second video starts with the security guard talking to a man through a car window.

Seconds later the man, wearing a blue shirt and grey pants, comes out of the car and pushes the security guard before punching him in the face.

It is learnt that the 2.50pm assault took place when the 27-year-old Nepalese security guard had asked the man for his personal details for visitor registration purposes.

The victim then contacted his supervisor, who explained why they needed the man’s personal details.

Surprisingly, the man then introduced himself as a Kajang Municipal Council employee and handed over his documents to the supervisor.

The victim lodged a report at Bandar Baru Bangi police station on Mar 5.

Meanwhile, netizens have lambasted man who attacked the guard.

Azman Baharin said: “The guard is carrying out his responsibility. If any crimes occur, he needs to answer to his employer. No matter what your status is, please respect others.”

Riza Misdi said: “You are a servant of the people. Respect the public. The job given to you is to serve the public and people, and not to act like the boss!”

Chacha Here said: “Please respect him! He is just doing his job. Don’t act in anger.”
