KUALA LUMPUR: A travel bus driver escaped unscathed when the bus caught fire at Km10.9 Kuala Lumpur – Genting Highlands yesterday evening.
According to Genting fire and rescue department, the fire was believed to have started near the tyre.
Genting fire station chief Yusry Abdullah Sani said the bus was completely burnt but no injuries were reported.
"We received a distress call at 6.50pm and arrived at the scene some 20 minutes later. When the team arrived, fire had already spread.
"It took about 30 minutes to put it out. The bus was on its way to fetch passengers from Genting Highlands."
