Former DPM's daughter slams online allegation of millions in bank account

KUALA LUMPUR: The daughter of former Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has taken to social media to highlight an allegation that has been made against her family.

On her Instagram @nurulzahid, Datuk Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahid shared the screenshot of a Twitter post made by @PutraREFORMASI alleging that together with her father, they have over RM950 million in their bank account.

The post also alleged that Nurulhidayah's mother has more than RM500 million.

"Terrible theifs. Can't believe. But it is okay all dah freeze can't travel too (sic)," @PutaREFORMASI posted.

Nurulhidayah, while not saying much, highlighted two Acts.

"Pls take note," she wrote, and proceeded to mention the Sedition Act 1957 and the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

She ended her comments with the hashtag #beranikeranabenar.

In the comments section, Nurulhidayah remarked that only cowards would share (allegations) via mediums such as WhatsApp and social media.

Responding to an Instagram user who prayed for Allah SWT to ease things for her, Nurulhidayah said, "If I had that much money, I would have invested in Manulife. I would have a lot of land, shophouses, bought property overseas. I don't know what they are on about. The most expensive thing is paying RM1,800 a month for my car. Car on loan, house on loan. What is this nonsense? Maybe they lack love."
