KUALA LUMPUR: The cash handout previously called Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M) is set to continue as announced earlier by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government, with its next payment in June.
In announcing this, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng, said as directed by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the next payment will be made before Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Lim also informed that BR1M will be given a different name later.
"Additional information will be announced next week," Lim wrote on his Twitter account today.
