KUALA LUMPUR: The National Film Development Board (Finas) is cooperating fully with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in its probe into the body.
Its director-general, Datuk Fauzi Yob, confirmed that MACC officers “had been present” at the Finas headquarters in Hulu Klang on June 7.
He added that the board’s officers had cooperated fully with the MACC officers.
“I can confirm the presence of MACC officers at our headquarters and we cooperated fully with them. Finas will not compromise with any quarters deemed to have been involved in any element of graft, abuse of power or leakage of funds.
“If anyone is found to have gone against the law, then stern action shoud be taken against this person immediately,” he said.
Fauzi was responding to a statement by Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo that MACC officers had raided Finas on June 7.
