e-Sports among the top attraction at Media Prima's GegaRia fest

PUTRAJAYA: The second day of Media Prima Bhd (MPB) GegaRia fest saw renowned teams taking part in the My Game On Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) All Star Arena.

The teams were Honor MyA, AirAsia Saiyan, FV.WoW and Saiyan Reborn.

e-Sports commentator Radzi Rahman Ibrahim, said Mobile Legends has its own followers which come from various backgrounds.

“Good feedback from Mobile Legends has become the turning point for professional e-Sports, which subsequently attracts many parties to invest in the sport.

“Easy access using smart phones for Mobile Legends has allowed the game to be played anywhere. Besides that, the duration for the game to be completed is also short.”

He said public acceptance towards e-Sports has been very encouraging.

“It is no longer just a normal hobby, but can be turned into a professional career.”

The prize which awaits the winner of the MLBB challenge is RM10,000.

Meanwhile, visitors of GegaRia also will get the chance to play e-Sports for free such as Fifa 18, Tekken 7, Guitar Hero and Street Fighter.

This is the eighth GegaRia fest that was held since its first edition in January this year. The fest is geared towards youth.

It has five main zones namely #Kitapunya Concert, #KitaPunya Lifestyle, #KitaPunya Throwback Tunnel, #KitaPunya Esports, and #KitaPunya Chillex.

Later tonight, there will be a concert with artistes in the line-up which include Faizal Tahir, Wany Hasrita, Stacy, Kugiran Masdo, Misha Omar and Bunkface.
