PT3 papers not leaked, rumours untrue

PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysia Examination Syndicate today quashed rumours that several Pentaksiran Tingkatan 3 (PT3) papers had been leaked.

The so-called affected papers were English, Mathematics, Science and Integrated Living Skills which were rumoured to have been leaked.

The rumours also claimed all PT3 candidates were required to resit these papers because of the purported leaks.

The Malaysian Examination Syndicate said the rumours were untrue. It also urged parents not to worry over the matter.

"The schools have conducted PT3 based on the guidelines given by the Examination Syndicate with the supervision of the state education departments and the district education offices," it said in a statement today.

The PT3 written tests were conducted from Oct 1 to 4.

PT3 is a school-based holistic assessment of students on a continuous basis. Schools and teachers are solely responsible for the administration of the examination, marking of exam scripts and release of results on a date fixed by the Education Ministry.
