Jollibee opens first Malaysian outlet in Kota Kinabalu

KOTA KINABALU: After opening outlets in London and Manhattan recently, Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) is now in Malaysia with a Jollibee fast food outlet in Kota Kinabalu.

JFC, which has grown to over 4,300 stores with 14 brands spread across 21 countries, penetrates the Malaysian market today with the opening of its first store in the state capital of Sabah.

The corporation chief executive officer Ernesto Tanmantiong said it was an exciting new chapter for Jollibee to open its first store in Malaysia.

“We invite Malaysians to come and see for themselves why people line up for hours.

“They are here to enjoy our delicious bestsellers like Chickenjoy, as well as our friendly service,” he said.

Jollibee’s signature dishes include its fried chicken, spaghetti, and burgers.

Meanwhile, JFC International Business head and president Dennis Flores said Jollibee is beloved throughout Asia and other continents as it appeals to diverse tastes and cultures.

“This has propelled us to become the fastest growing Asian restaurant company, and we are thankful for the overwhelming support.

“It drives us to do better for our customers, and to continue to serve delicious food with our signature warm service,” he added.

Also present during the launching event were Golden Beeworks Sdn Bhd directors Patrick Chong Fook Seng and Mohd Jamal Salleh and restaurant manager Shahzul Zulkefli.
