Azmin's political secretary lodges report over alleged sex videos

PUTRAJAYA: The political secretary to Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, Muhammad Hilman Idham has lodged a police report on the sex videos allegedly linking the Economic Affairs Minister which had gone viral since Tuesday.

The report was made at the police headquarters here at 10.38am.

Hilman was accompanied by some 20 people believed to be PKR members, who had gathered here since 9am.

“The police have recorded my statement to investigate the alleged sex videos,” he said briefly when asked by reporters earlier.

Muhammad Hilman, who is also PKR Youth deputy chief, said the report was made in his capacity as the political secretary to Azmin.

After spending an hour at the police station, Hilman headed to the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department to make a qazaf report (false accusation of illicit sex).

A press conference on the two reports is expected to be held at the religious department later.

Several videos were released on Tuesday, allegedly depicting the PKR deputy president and Muhammad Haziq Abdul Aziz, a senior private secretary of a ministry, engaging in sex acts.

Another video was also shared on new WhatsApp group yesterday evening.

In a statement yesterday, Azmin strongly denied the allegations.

“I refer to the various media reports today publishing the allegations of an individual regarding a sex video purporting to implicate me.

“I categorically deny this vicious libel upon me. This is nothing but a nefarious plot to assassinate my reputation and character in an attempt to destroy my political career,” he added.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had also condemned the use of "dirty tactics" in politics for the sake of running down certain individuals.

PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has strongly criticised allegations made against his deputy, describing the attacks made through a purported sex video, as “gutter politics”.
