PASIR GUDANG: The 111 schools here that were closed for 10 days due to the air pollution scare will reopen tomorrow.
State Health, Culture and Heritage Committee chairman Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar said the schools were allowed to reopen because the air quality readings had returned to normal.
However, he said, as a precautionary measure, a response team comprising officers from various agencies and authorities will be on standby at the schools.
“The team will provide students with a safety briefing and precaution measures in the morning, during their assembly.
“The officers on standby are well prepared to face a reccurrence of the June 20 incident,” he told a press conference at Menara Aqabah, here, this evening.
