SEREMBAN: The Quoirin family whose eldest daughter has been missing since Aug 4 is offering a RM50,000 reward for anyone who might have any direct information on Nora Anne.
Her mother Maebh Jaseprine Quoirin who spoke to the media for the first time in a closed door meeting said this was an effort to help the police with their investigation.
“The police have been working extremely hard to bring Nora home.
“In order to help their investigation, we have decided to offer a reward of RM50,000 (which) has been donated by an anonymous Belfast-based business for any information that directly helps us find Nora,” Maebh said.
The family only spoke to a few press agencies selected by the police at the Pantai police station, here, today.
Maebh who was clearly distraught and on the brink of tears pleaded for any information which would help find her daughter.
“Nora is our first child. She has been vulnerable since the day she was born. She is so precious to us and our hearts are breaking.
“We are appealing to anyone who has information on Nora to help us find her,” she said.
Maebh also asked the public to call the special hotline set up by the police at 0111-2285058 or email ops@lbtrust.org from outside of Malaysia.
Nora, a special needs teenager along with her family arrived in Negri Sembilan on Aug 3 for a two-week holiday.
However, she mysteriously disappeared the next morning and a search and rescue (SAR) operation was immediately activated.
The family is insisting that she was abducted but police have yet to discover any evidence to support this and have classified it as a missing persons case.
However investigators have not completely ruled out abduction and are still investigating all angles.
