Low price of RM1.50 per dish pays off for Sitiawan stall

SITIAWAN: Customers come first at a stall in Kampung Sungai Limau, Lekir, here.

For this reason, two siblings have kept the prices of all dishes at RM1.50.

Halimah As Saadiah M. Kadiri, 29, and Rabiah Assyamiah, 34, are serving up to 10 dishes, including nasi lemak, laksa, mee, bihun and kueh teow sup, curry, lempeng pisang and roti canai.

Halimah said today that the idea to offer the dishes at RM1.50 came from their father, M. Kadiri Tahir, 68.

They opened the stall about a year ago.

“Previously, only nasi lemak was sold at RM1.50 here, while other dishes were sold at RM3.

“However, three weeks ago, my father told us why don’t we standardise the price and set all dishes at RM1.50.

“Praise to Allah, since we introduced the new price, we have received a lot of customers not only from the villagers here, but also those who are staying outside the district.

“We do not want to disappoint our customers and we will make sure that all the dishes here are cheap and delicious.”

“The stall operates between 7am and 7pm and we are closed every Wednesday,” she said.
