Workplaces in RMCO areas can operate fully, live events can resume on Wednesday

KUALA LUMPUR: The government's work from home directive for the public sector and industries under the International Trade and Industry (Miti) is still applicable, although all states are now under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the presence of staff in the office for CMCO states is at 30 per cent, while in RMCO states offices can operate fully at the optimum level.

"However, it is up to the department heads to implement this directive, according to the suitability of their operations.

"As for industries in the CMCO areas, the companies can operate with the presence of 30 per cent of staff at management level, and 100 per cent for support group employees and those directly involved in the production line.

"For industries under RMCO, the companies can operate fully."

In the same press conference, Ismail Sabri said live events under the creative industry will be allowed in CMCO and RMCO areas starting tomorrow (March 10).

He said the presence of audience members at CMCO areas is limited to 50 per cent of the capacity of the premises, while in RMCO areas the number is according to the size of premises.

"The live events include official government programmes, television programmes, music, dance, theatre, musical performances, cultural events, and live streaming.

"Pre-registration or ticket sales must be done online, with the physical distancing of 1.5m between the audience, and 2m among artists, musicians and dancers on stage," he said, adding that food and drinks must be pre-ordered and packed.

Outdoor filming in CMCO and RMCO areas will be allowed, along with performances at hotel lounges, at 50 per cent capacity.
