3 killed after car skids, crashes into tree at Old Klang Road

KUALA LUMPUR: Three men were killed when the car they were travelling in skidded and struck a tree near a petrol station in Jalan Klang Lama, here, early today.

A spokesman for the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department's Operations Centre said they received an emergency call on the incident at 6.49am.

"A total of 18 members along with three vehicles from the Seputeh Fire and Rescue Station and Pantai BBP were rushed to the scene of the incident.

"Upon arrival, we found an accident involving a car that was believed to have skidded and hit a tree," he said in a statement.

He said the accident resulted in the car being wrecked and split into two parts.

"The fire brigade managed to remove the three men who were trapped in the mangled vehicle. All the victims were found to be unconscious upon being removed from the wreckage.

"Medical officers confirmed that the three victims were killed at the scene." he said.
