KUALA LUMPUR: Pejuang party president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Mahathir expressed his and the party's message of congratulations and best of luck to Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who took his oath as the country's new Prime Minister.
"I, on behalf of the Pejuang Tanahair Parti (Pejuang), congratulate and wish the best of luck to Anwar on his appointment as Malaysia's 10th Prime Minister.
"Our hope is that this appointment and the formation of the new unity government which will be composed of Pakatan Harapan (PN), Barisan Nasional (BN), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and others will stabilise the country's political scene and climate that has been turbulent for the past two years.
"The people will definitely be hoping for a government that will focus on addressing and dealing with the economic crisis which is expected to be even worse next year, the high prices of goods and items which has burdened the people, the Covid-19 pandemic which still poses a threat to the people and all sorts of other problems and issues that has been troubling the country," said Mukhriz.
He added that Anwar and the incoming new government are definitely aware of the importance in dealing with and addressing such issues.
"Pejuang prays that the new government for the 15th term under Datuk Seri Anwar's leadership will steer the country out of the rough seas and towards recovery, therefore putting Malaysia back on right track once again," he said.
