KUALA LUMPUR: Inconsiderate parking by certain residents in a Pasir Gudang housing estate, blocking pathways, has prompted others to take matters into their own hands.
Initially, some residents courteously notified the vehicle owners to move their cars, but these advisories were disregarded.
Following that, residents brought the matter to the attention of the Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG). In response, enforcement officers from MBPG visited the area and issued summonses to the vehicles in violation.
Despite the summonses, the identical vehicles occupied inappropriate spaces, causing continued inconvenience to nearby residents.
As a result, the residents took matters into their own hands by wrapping cautionary yellow tape around the vehicles.
This situation was shared by a TikTok user @hidayah3606, who uploaded several pictures of the inconsiderately parked vehicles near some residences.
The post garnered over 200,000 views on the platform.
"Several neighbours were politely informed but chose to disregard the warnings. Even when warnings were issued in the housing estate's WhatsApp group, they ignored them.
"What we are doing is not meant to be harsh; instead, it is a response to their repeated lack of consideration.
"Thanks to MBPG for carrying out their duties," she expressed.
